Dive Insight:
More than 3 in 5 employees in the United States are not confident they know all the benefits offered to them, according to a study released by MetLife in February.
For MetLife, this lack of knowledge harms customer satisfaction. Employees who don’t utilize the full extent of their benefits are less satisfied with the insurance programs they are offered, the company said. The integration of these tools aim to educate users and improve satisfaction in the process.
MetLife’s Upwise already provides recommendations and reminders to users based on their needs. The addition of Nayya Claims will help it leverage data across multiple insurance types to identify additional opportunities.
For instance, when a customer inquires about a loan for a mortgage, MetLife’s identity and fraud protection insurance can detect the action and point to the company’s legal insurance plan to suggest legal services for tasks such as buying a home.
